The Council of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Schools of Canada

About the Council

The Council of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Schools of Canada was incorporated on December 4, 2002 under Part II of the provisions of the Canada Corporations Act of the Minister of Industry. Its mission is to establish standards for accreditation of institutions and colleges that offer education and training programs in the practice of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.  Training programs in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture are to be located in Canada.

The Council promotes nationally recognized standards of competency and safety in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture for the purpose of protecting the public.
